TAHAJJUD (The Night Prayer)

If there is something you want in life and you are not praying tahajjud for it you don't really want it." — Shaykh Yasir Qadhi

''The Dua made at tahajjud is like an arrow that does not miss its target.'' — Imaam Ash Shafi (ra)

Get up to pray in the dark when all are asleep and see how your path is lit and your life begins to shine. #Tahajjud

Many people talk about Allah but very few talk to Allah. Bring Tahajjud and Du’a into your life and talk to Him.

If there is something you want to ask Allah, start praying tahajjud.

Tahajjud time is on even 15 mins before fajr so if you are a heavy sleeper you should try waking up atleast 20 mins before fajr and offer tahajjud.

Raise your hands in dua in tahajjud + be consistent, Allah loves hearing our duas.

Abu Hurayra (Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace be upon him) said,

"The best prayer after the obligatory prayers is the night prayer." [Sahih Muslim]

Benefits of Tahajjud (The Night Prayer):

1 - Implementing the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah (Sallallahu alayhi was sallam) which he never use to miss

2 - A way of getting your Dua's accepted

3 - A way of getting your sins forgiven

4 - By performing it, it will bring light to your face and soul

5 - It helps you fight your desires

6 - It makes you closer to Allah

7 - It builds the love of the Hereafter in your heart

8 - It softens the heart and humbles you in front of Allah

9 - It strengthens the Qur’an that you have memorised

Narrated Abu Huraira (Radiallahu anhu): Allah’s Apostle (Peace be upon him) said, “Our Lord, the Blessed, the Superior, comes every night down on the nearest Heaven to us when the last third of the night remains, saying: “Is there anyone to invoke Me, so that I may respond to invocation? Is there anyone to ask Me, so that I may grant him his request? Is there anyone seeking My forgiveness, so that I may forgive him?” [Bukhari]

Halal & Haram animals from the sea?

1 I want to know in detail what is halal from Sea and what is haram because iwas having disscussion with my friend from europe specially about crab and prans we have heard from some place its halal some is telling its makroo please explain properly about makroo also .

2 what animals and bird is halal to eat .

Answer: In the Name of Allah, Most Compassionate, Most Merciful,

Assalaamu ‘alaykum waRahmatullahi Wabarakatuh

1 According to the Hanafi Madhab, it is only permissible to eat fish from the ocean. This is due to the narration wherein it is related from Nabi صلي الله عليه وسلم that He said,

“Two animals that die naturally have been permitted for us, the locust and the fish” (Narrated by al-Bayhaqi (1/254)

Those scholars who classify crabs and prawns as fish regard it as permissible to eat the same. However, there are many Ulama who do not classify them as fish, hence it is better to abstain. Nabi صلي الله عليه وسلم has said,

“Halal is clear and Haram is clear. Between the two is that which is doubtful which many people do not know about. Whoever protects himself from the doubtful protects his religion and integrity.” (Narrated by Bukhari (1/28) and Muslim(5/50)

2 Those birds that hunt with their claws/talons, are considered Haram, such as a falcon, eagle, kite, hawk, bat, etc. This is based on the following narration of ‘Abd Allah bin ‘Abbas (May Allah Ta’ala be pleased with him) where he said,

The Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him & give him peace) prohibited the eating of all fanged beasts of prey, and all the birds having talons.” (Sahih Muslim 6/60)

Thus, all animals that hunt with their teeth and birds of prey who hunt with their talons/claws are impermissible. This is a general principle, for any specific animal or bird, you are most welcome to write to us again.

All those birds are halal which merely eat grains and crop and do not hunt with their claws and do not prey on other animals, like ducks, chickens, crows, doves, pigeons, sparrows, etc.

Homeless Man Racially Abuses a Muslim Man, He Responds by Finding Him a Job and a Home

Aminur Chowdhury from Bradford, England was racially abused by homeless man Ben Gallon but rather than throw insults back, Aminur decided to engage in conversation with him and invited him to have a drink.

Aminur says: “Initially I turned the other cheek but then I was challenging Ben about what he had said to me, I stopped and had a chat with him for about 15 minutes.”
After speaking to Ben, Aminur said he can help him find a job and the pair exchanged contact details. Initially Ben thought he was only being polite about the job offer but he says he got a call from him the next day with a job interview at his friend’s business:

“The next day he gave me a call, said ‘can I come pick you up Ben, I’ve got an interview for you’. That same day, he came round to get me, drove me down to the place on Canal Road and then within ten minutes I had been offered the job.”
Aminur didn’t stop there, he also helped him find an apartment to rent in Bradford.

Ben, now regretting his actions says:

“There was no justification for me using those words.. Kudos to him for forgiving me, I regret it. A positive thing has happened out of this situation.”
“I’ve learned my lesson. What I said was completely out of character for me, I’m not a racist.”
“Things are starting to look up for me. I’ve started the job and it’s fantastic.”
Aminur explains what motivated him to respond the way he did:

“I was targeted for racist abuse but a great way of overcoming racism is to show some tolerance…I realise I can’t put the world to rights but I can try to educate people.”
“This is a great way of teaching Asian people across Bradford of how to respond to racism. The more love you show, the more endeared they will be to you,”.
Some of the worst racially aggravated riots took place in Bradford in 2001 between the large and growing British Asian communities and the city’s white majority, which resulted in 300 police officers being hurt and 297 arrests being made. Both men now hope this positive story helps improves the relations of different races and people of religions in the community.

This story is indeed a great lesson for us all and highlights the best way of winning people’s hearts – good character. The prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) also won people over with his good character and many people went onto embrace Islam because of that.

DEFYING PREJUDICE, MORE AMERICANS LEARN ARABIC

New York, United States – Republican presidential front runner Donald Trump’s anti-Muslim rhetoric tells one story about the modern day US. But, students painstakingly learning Arabic’s right-to-left script in classrooms across the country tells another.
While fewer Americans speak Arabic than English, Spanish, Chinese or even Tagalog, it is perhaps the nation’s fastest-growing language and is increasingly being studied in kindergartens and colleges from the boondocks to big cities.
“Some people study Arabic for professional reasons or to get a government job, but most are the true Americans who are open to other cultures,” Mahmoud al-Batal, a Lebanese-American Arabic professor at the University of Texas at Austin, told Al Jazeera.
“They are not convinced by what Donald Trump tells them or by the two-minute media reports of car bomb explosions they see on the news. They want to understand the culture and language for themselves.”

LETTERS CAN DEFEAT TERROR – AN INTERVIEW WITH DR. BILAL PHILIPS

Bombs, military raids and airstrikes could contain terrorism to some extent, but to wipe it out fully, renowned Islamic scholar and educationalist, Dr. Bilal Philips has an antidote — education.
Extremists brainwashing young Muslims to fight in so-called Holy wars has become a growing concern in Bahrain and other Gulf nations in the recent past. The social-media savvy Islamic State (IS) has already lured over 100 Bahrainis, many of whom youngsters, to fight in Iraq and Syria. Last year, the Bahrani ISIS fighters had released a video message online urging Muslims in the Kingdom to revolt against the Bahraini Government and to join them in Iraq.
After IS members had been stripped off their Bahraini passports last month, they threatened to enter the Kingdom with “blazing guns”. Out of the 72 former Bahrainis who had been recently stripped off their nationalities, 22 were found to have joined the extremist organizations to fight in Syria and Iraq. A report released last July had stated that around 5,500 Gulf nationals had been fighting alongside IS.
Warning against the dangers of extremism, Dr. Philips said, parents, teachers and religious leaders should make sure the youth were properly educated about religion. He explained that extremists use clever propaganda to lure the youths. “Without the proper knowledge of Islam, Muslims end up doing things that are against the very teachings of Islam”.
“Don’t be fooled by what they pretend to be,” said Dr. Philips about the religious extremist groups who claim to be ‘fighting for the name of God’. Quoting the Prophet SAW, Dr. Philips said,
“If you compare your prayers with theirs and your fasting with theirs, you will look down upon your prayers and fasting, in comparison to theirs. Yet they will go out of the religion as an arrow darts through the game’s body.”
Explaining the quote, Dr. Philips said, “The quote is about extremists, also known as ‘Khawarij’. They would appear to be more devoted than other Muslims as they are extremely steadfast in their worship. They appear to fast, pray, recite Quran constantly, but at the same time they are slaughtering innocents.”
He said they take verses of Quran out of context to justify their actions. Similar to how Islamophobes take Quran verses out of context to paint a negative picture of Islam, the extremists use the verses to further their agenda.
Similar to how Islamophobes take Quran verses out of context to paint a negative picture of Islam, the extremists use the verses to further their agenda.
Advising the Muslim youths, he said that seeking knowledge should be kept as a high priority. “The only way to overcome this problem of Muslims getting radicalized is by educating the Muslim community about Islam. Islam is not about kissing the Quran and keeping it on a shelf. It is about seeking knowledge by reading, understanding and reflecting,” he said.
Dr. Philips is a Jamaican Canadian scholar, speaker and author. He is bet recognized as the founder of Islamic Online University which has over 200,000 students. He also features among the 500 Most Influential Muslims according to an Jordanian publication.
